With TimeTrack, you can offer your employees a practical and easy-to-use solution for mobile time tracking. Recorded project times can be exported to QuickBooks with just a few clicks, where they are immediately available as invoice line items to be billed to your customers.
1. Make sure you have an active QuickBooks Online account. Log in to TimeTrack and navigate to Settings > Integrations.
2. Select QuickBooks from the list and click Connect. You will be redirected to QuickBooks—confirm access there to link the two systems.
3. In the settings, enable customer import. Choose whether TimeTrack should automatically create projects for imported customers. This saves you from manually creating projects in TimeTrack.
4. Under Export Settings, define how your data should appear on the QuickBooks invoice. Since TimeTrack transfers data as invoice line items, you have full control over the layout.
5. Specify which information should be displayed in the Name field (e.g. project name or date).
6. Determine which details should be included in the Description / Notes field of the invoice. We recommend selecting the activity and time entry notes so your customer can clearly see what work was performed.
7. Record your project time as usual. When you are ready to bill, create an invoice or a project completion for the customer in TimeTrack.
8. Click “Export to QuickBooks”. TimeTrack automatically transfers all selected line items to your accounting system.
9. Open QuickBooks. The exported time entries will appear as completed invoice line items, ready to be sent to your customer.
