You can indicate your individual availability, so that the shift schedule knows for which shift you are available.
Create the availability under Planning > Duty roster > Availabilities by clicking in the calendar.
Confirm the date and time of the availability and as soon as you click on Save it will be displayed in the system. You can also click and drag to define a period.
Availabilities can be easily edited by clicking and dragging to shorten or lengthen the period. You can also select the relevant entry and manually change the time. For example, if you have a commitment at a certain time, you can shorten the availability and share your reason in the notes if needed. You can also create a time gap by leaving a period blank and entering from when you will be available again.
Your availability can be repeated as needed and set individually. Click on an existing availability or create a new one and click on Create recurrence. Now you can define the repetition (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), the interval repetition of […] week(s), the start, the applicable weekdays and the end for the repetition of the availability. You can decide whether you want the repetition to never end, to end after […] times or on a specific day. Finally you will find a summary of your selection, which you save with Update.
When this is done, update the availability again and it will be automatically applied and stored in the system.
When availabilities are stored for each employee, the shift planner can see in the calendar view at which times a selected employee is available and can thus better plan shifts.
